Choquequirao is part of the Andean city system complex of Vilcabamba Valley. In Inka age, it was connected to Machupicchu citadel by a complex system of inca paths.

From the airport
We leave Cusco at 06:00 am, then arrive at Cachora town, breakfast there, continue to Capuliyoc 2900 meters above sea level. here we organize our luggage for the mules and horses, after 3-hour descent through the Apurímac canyon, we reach Chikiska 1883 meters above sea level, after lunch we continue descending for 1 hour until Rosalina town 1550 meters above sea level. From that point we begin the 3-hour ascent by sicsac arriving at the Santa Rosa Baja camp at 2095 meters above sea level where we will spent the first night.
We continue our hike for 3 hours to Marampata 2900 meters above sea level, a small town with beautiful views. From that point the walk is easier, for 2 hours more until we reach the Archaeological Complex of Choquequirao 3100 meters above sea level, a good time to enjoy that majestic place. Here we can see houses, terraces, squares, lamas on terraces and others, for 4 hours to enjoy the place. Lunch, and then return to Marampata where we will spend the night.
After reackfast, back to Rosalina town for 4 hours. From that point we begin the 1-hour ascent walk to Chikiska, lunch. Short break in the area.
In the afternoon we will continue the ascent hike to the Cocamasana camp where will be our camp night. We chose this camp for its beautiful sunset and the stars at night.
After the breakfast We will go from Cocamasana to Capuliyoc, the walk is 4 hours. Along the way we will be able to appreciate again the majestic Apurímac Canyon. Once in Capuliyoc, our transportation will be waiting for us to tke us for 4 hours back to Cusco.
At night transfer to the airport to get your flight to Lima
